February 2021. Life in Lockdown!

During lockdown, for nearly a year, there have been Cruise Ships sitting in Poole Bay.  Seeing them outside sitting majestically on the water has become the norm.  Here are the two ships anchored at the moment and some information about them.

Anthem of the Seas, anchored in Poole Bay sits in sea mist early in the morning on the 6th February 2021.  Operated by Royal Caribbean, she is 1139 feet long and weighs 168,666 tons.  She can carry 4905 passengers and 760 crew.
This beautiful cruise ship is usually cruising the Caribbean and other exotic locations around the world. She currently sits waiting for Lockdown to lift.

Jewel Of The Seas at anchor in Poole Bay off Southbourne Beach.  This shot was taken at 11:22am on 6th February.   The weather was misty and stormy clouds catching the sun gives an interesting backdrop.
The Jewel is operated by Royal Caribbean, she is 962 feet long and weighs 90,090 tons.  She can carry 2112 passengers and 850 crew.
